Artist Background:

As an artist, I love to research and learn every day. I am Australian born with Italian
heritage and I participate in a weekly advanced Italian conversation class. It has
been very satisfying to be fluent enough to only use Italian when travelling to Italy. I
have travelled extensively overseas. I have participated in portrait workshops in New
York, Rome, Perugia, Sydney and Bathurst and I have painted plein air in Rome,
Morocco, Prague and Sydney.

I love to paint and draw the portrait, figure and urban landscape.

I am inspired by many artists like Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Picasso, Giorgio
de Chirico, Modigliani, Van Gogh, Francis Bacon, Singer-Sargent, Turner, Monet,
Gauguin, Degas, Toulouse-Lautrec, Rothko, Jackson-Pollock,
Andy Warhol, Banksy, Thierry Guetta

Artist comment

On a summer’s day in 2014, I walked out onto the promenade and stared out to the
waves crashing into the rocks at North Bondi. A warm wind swept across my face as
my senses were delighted by the odours of sunscreen and then in a moment, I was
mesmerised by the beauty of the waves dancing with the sea and then smashing
into the rocks to form mythical shapes and patterns. As I regained focus a blanket of
inspiration provided the energy to get back to the studio to transfer these feelings
onto the canvas.
